The Manousso Mediation Family Mediation Training is
a 30 hours training course that covers family law, family dynamics,
child development, family violence, practice considerations, theory, and
skills.
This is an advanced coursefor training in Divorce & Child Custody,
as required to mediate
court-referred disputes as indicated in the Texas Alternative Dispute Resolution Act § 154.052, Tex. Civ. Prac.
& Rem. Code Ann.
The prerequisite for this course is a 40 hours Basic Mediation
Training,
earned from a course that has met the certification standards comparable
to the
Texas State Statute and
Texas Mediation Trainers Roundtable.
The 40 hours of basic mediation training can be taken in any state.
This course does not require a master's degree or JD.

Effort to incorporate
Academy of Family Mediators requirements, including the following

and current research and literature underlying conflict and its
resolution, and their applicability to family mediation;

appropriate response(s) when domestic violence or its potential has been

the number of required hours to accommodate the need for

Registration:
The fee to register is a special rate to encourage training, while responding to the
current economic climate. Please send a check addressed to Manousso
Mediation at 21 Briar Hollow Lane, Suite 508, Houston, TX 77027, or use
PayPal.
Cancelation policy:
Courses can be canceled by Manousso Mediation, if a minimum number of
attendees are not met. Registration money will be refunded or
applied to a future class. If there are not an adequate number of students to hold the
class, Manousso Mediation may use their discretion in rescheduling the course. Manousso Mediation is not liable for any
loss or damage due to a course not being held as scheduled. If a student
cancels within 30 days before the scheduled class, they will be refunded
50% of the paid registration fee. If a student cancels within ten days
before the
scheduled class, there will be no refund of their registration fee.
In all cases though,
the paid registration can be applied to a future course.
